Ants
Ants are a major problem in Georgia and many other states. The control of these insects is not simple and can even take a considerable amount of work by a professional with the right equipment to do the job. Ants must be controlled because they infest structures and food by the hundreds of thousands, and in many cases their defense and attack mechanisms include biting, stinging, and injecting venom in predators such as domestic animals and humans. The most common ants attacking Georgian’s houses are:

Argentine Ant

Fire Ant

Odorous Ant

Pavement Ant

Pharaoh Ant

Some important facts: 3 gallons of a professional product are needed to effectively control ant nests. Ants can enter virtually any crack in or around structures. Perpetual elimination of ants is impossible, all solutions are temporary (from 1 to 3 months.) By not calling a professional populations became even more difficult to control. A “Real Solution” to an ant problem includes using Forsyth Exterminating.

Did You Know?

Snakes & Rats Removal from Attics, Homes, and Businesses

I could not have predicted over $4,000 in damages to correct the problem either.

Formosan Termites
Formosan Termites

Formosan subterranean termites are difficult to control. For that reason, prevention should be the first line of defense. If a Formosan colony is found within a structure, quick action is required to minimize potential structural damage.  It is important to note that Formosan termites are not commonly found in Georgia, and most cases that have been identified here involve importing them in infested railroad ties from other states such as Louisiana and Mississippi.
