I think I may have a pest control problem

There are many different pests that, in nature, are perfectly normal, but when we see them in our homes and businesses, it can be disconcerting, uncomfortable and even dangerous. If you have a pest control concern, call Forsyth Exterminating and we can identify the issue and help you decide the best treatment plan. You don’t need to be concerned about safety or comfort in your own home. We can help you treat the problem safely and effectively. Call Forsyth Exterminating at 770.889.0954 for a full assessment and treatment plan. If you suspect you are dealing with a pest that is causing an allergic reaction, call Forsyth Exterminating immediately.

Jonathan Poss, a certifed pest professional who grew up in the Forsyth Exterminating family business, answers some of the most common questions about pest control in your home or business.

What type of pest is it?

It is helpful to identify the type of insect you may have spotted. Our pest control service covers 27 of the most common household pests in the areas we treat in the North Atlanta area (Alpharetta, Atlanta, Cumming, Duluth, John’s Creek, Roswell, Sandy Springs and Suwanee), and our trained staff can generally identify the pest control issue with one quick phone call to 770.889.0954. We can even quote and recommend treatment at that time, including a warranty of service. Bedbugs require an on-site inspection and specialized treatment, and some insects such as hornets, wasps, fire ants, fleas, ticks, german cockroaches and mosquitoes may require specialized service. There’s also a little more involved in a commercial inspection, and those also require on-site inspections. Some of the most common pests we treat for are: American Cockroaches, Ants, Black Widows, Centipedes, Earwigs and other spiders.

What happens in an inspection?

Good news! Most of the information we need to identify common household pests can be taken over the phone. If we aren’t sure, we may ask you to send a photo or sample of the insect to Forsyth Exterminating via mail or email.

What is the treatment process?

Forsyth Exterminating is specially licensed and certified to treat your home or other building for common pests. We also use chemicals that are strictly regulated by the EPA, and are environmentally compatible. And that means we offer a treatment that is effective and safe for children, pets and plants. A registered and trained professional visits your home or office and conducts an inspection that includes several factors such as harborage areas (such as ivy or kudzu growth on the structure) and customer feedback or special concerns. The application takes place that day, around the outside and inside perimeters, and the Forsyth Exterminating Warranty – and your peace of mind begins.
