Spiders — Control & Prevention in Metro Atlanta & North Georgia
Most Georgia spiders are harmless — but that's little comfort when webs keep appearing in your garage, basement, and porch corners, or when you spot a black widow near the kids' play set. And because spiders follow their food, a spider problem is usually a sign of a bigger insect problem on your property.
Forsyth Exterminating controls spiders two ways: directly, with web removal and targeted treatment of harborage areas, and at the source, by reducing the insect population spiders feed on. The result is a home with dramatically fewer eight-legged surprises.
Signs You Have a Spider Problem
- Webs reappearing in eaves, garages, and basements
- Black widows in meter boxes, wood piles, or outdoor toys
- Sac spiders along ceilings and wall corners
- Increased insect activity — spiders' food supply
How We Solve It
Inspection
We identify the species present — including venomous black widows and brown recluses — and locate nesting and web sites.
De-webbing & treatment
We physically remove webs and egg sacs and treat cracks, corners, and entry points where spiders hunt and hide.
Source reduction
Controlling the insects spiders eat makes your home a poor hunting ground.
Ongoing barrier
Quarterly service keeps both spiders and their prey from re-establishing.
Keep Them From Coming Back
- Reduce outdoor lighting that attracts flying insects
- Keep firewood and debris away from the foundation
- Seal gaps around doors, windows, and crawl space vents
- Shake out shoes, gloves, and stored fabrics

Spiders FAQs
Which Georgia spiders are actually dangerous?
Black widows and brown recluses are the two of medical concern here. Widows favor undisturbed outdoor spots like meter boxes and wood piles; recluses are rare but possible in storage areas. If you suspect either, have a professional handle it.
Why do I have so many spiders?
Spiders go where the food is. Heavy spider activity almost always means a healthy insect population on your property — which is why our treatment targets both.
Do you remove the webs too?
Yes — de-webbing is part of our standard spider service. It removes egg sacs and forces spiders to expend energy rebuilding in treated areas.
Ready to be done with spiders?
Free inspections. Same-day service usually available. Backed by the Forsyth Promise.
